Five-Hawk Enterprises is an American Indian, woman-owned business that is partnered with Eaton Corporation to offer Renewable Energy (solar; wind and geothermal energy) and Energy Efficient solutions to Indian Tribal Governments, the Indian Gaming industry and both Indian and non-Indian businesses in both the United States and Canada.
Renewable Energy is the "supply-side" of the equation for reducing our carbon footprint. Energy Efficiency is the "demand-side" of the same equation. If one decides to generate "green" energy from solar and/or wind, one should also aim to reduce the amount of energy consumed by implementing building efficiency measures.
As an American Indian company we ensure that there is respect and sensitivity towards each tribe's culture and beliefs.
We also look forward to meeting members of tribal nations who have an interest in renewable energy and solar projects as a way to help stop the destruction of our mother earth.
We truly believe that as American Indians we should be in the forefront of renewable energy, solar and other green initiative projects.
In pursuing Renewable Energy projects on Tribal lands, Five-Hawk acts as a facilitator between Indian and non-Indian people to bring about a positive and respectful dialog while ensuring that Tribal traditions are integrated into each solution.
Once work begins on a contract, Five-Hawk acts as a project manager and a liaison between the Indian community and Eaton. This will help to eliminate misunderstandings and ensure that non-Indian workers respect the culture on these sovereign lands.
Five-Hawk will also ensure that local American Indian workers and firms get priority in any sub-contracting contracts and/or be trained to help in the installation and maintenance of these Renewable Energy solutions.
